Latest Updates from Our Project:

Unfettered Hexes won the Shirley Jackson Award!

Hello backers,

I'm so delighted to share with you that Unfettered Hexes (co-) won the Shirley Jackson Award for Edited Anthology!

We never would have been able to put the book out without your support.

Our latest anthology is crowdfunding now on Indiegogo. It's called The Crawling Moon: Queer Tales of Inescapable Dread. I imagine it will appeal to folks who enjoyed this book; a handful of contributors appear in both (Suzan Palumbo, Nicasio Andres Reed & Jordan Shiveley). Plus we're excited to have contributions incoming from M.L. Krishnan, Sara Saab, Hailey Piper, Dare Segun Falowo, Caitlin Starling & Donyae Cole.

Hope to see you over there! And either way, thanks again for your support!

PS We still have some Unfettered Hexes oracle decks if you've been looking for one.

Luminescent Machinations: Queer Tales of Monumental Invention
over 2 years ago – Sat, Nov 20, 2021 at 07:23:08 PM

Hi backers,

I was about to post this on twitter, but I remembered that I promised I'd tell y'all first!

Our next Kickstarter will be Luminescent Machinations: Queer Tales of Monumental Invention, co-edited by myself and Rhiannon Rasmussen. It'll be about queer mechs and mechas, across speculative genres, and might even have a cyborg or two.

You can sign up here to be notified when we go live!

We're still addressing a couple mix-ups with fulfillment; please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything wrong with your pledge. For folks who got oracle decks, we had at least one backer who was missing a single card, so please count and make sure you have all 40.

Thanks again for your support,

dave

Dear backers,

After a bit of a crunch there, everyone who's filled out the survey and/or replied to backerkit now has their packages are now out the door as of Saturday, including the oracle decks! Folks should be receiving them in waves. I did screw up one batch of orders and have to resend them, which wasn't pretty, but now we should be all good.

Please give it a few more days and then, if you haven't received yours, you can ping me and I will send over your tracking number.  Similarly, if you received your package and something was awry, please let me know and I'll address it right away. Stuffing hundreds of packages turns into a bit of a fever dream and I'm sure I missed some things.

Ebooks went out on the 31st. If you've had any trouble with the files, please see my previous backer-only update for instructions how to get an alternate copy of the book via the Neon Hemlock website. But if you still are having any trouble with that, email me and we'll figure it out.

I hope the book is everything you'd hoped it would be! I can't wait for you to get to read these incredible stories. If you enjoy the book, and would like to review it on Amazon, Goodreads or Storygraph, that'd be much appreciated.

Our next anthology will be launching December 2nd on Kickstarter if we get all our ducks in a row! I'll let y'all know about it first.

Hi backers,

I just sent out the request via Backerkit tonight to lock addresses if you haven't already. As soon as that is complete, books will be shipping! Though please note that the actual oracle decks (the cards above are the prototype) are delayed because of supply chain issues with the manufacturer, so those will ship separately (when they finally make it here, probably in mid November).

And a quick reminder to join us for the party on Thursday if you can!
